VW Virtus Multiple Error Alerts Need Urgent Fix

My 2019 VW Virtus is showing multiple error messages across the dashboard and infotainment system. The check engine light came on yesterday, and I suspect there might be a stored fault code. Has anyone experienced similar issues with their Virtus? Would be helpful to know what diagnostic scanner readings revealed in your case and what the actual problem turned out to be. Mainly interested in hearing about successful repairs and associated costs. Currently debating whether to attempt OBD-II diagnostics myself or head straight to a repair shop.

I had a similar situation with my 2017 VW Polo last year (some experience with basic maintenance and diagnostics). Multiple warning lights appeared suddenly, including the check engine light. Initially tried using a basic OBD-II scanner which showed multiple fault codes, but the readings were inconsistent. After attempting to clear the codes myself without success, I decided to take it to a workshop specializing in VW engine diagnostics. The workshop found that the vehicle coding was incorrect, likely due to a software update that didnt complete properly. They had to reprogram several control modules using their professional scan tool. The entire process took about 2 hours and cost 360€. Since the fix, all systems have been working perfectly with no recurring issues. However, before suggesting specific solutions, could you share: What specific error messages are you seeing? Did any recent software updates or battery disconnections occur? Are you experiencing any drivability issues? Which warning lights exactly are illuminated? This information would help determine if your issue is similar to what I encountered or if its something different requiring another approach.

Had my last service at 32000km and they found nothing unusual. Started seeing these errors right after. Using a basic scan tool, I got multiple fault codes including P0300 and P0171. No drivability issues noticed yet, just the warnings on the dash. The engine light started flashing occasionally during idle. The specific errors showing are: Engine system service required, ESP malfunction, Start/Stop system error, Park assist malfunction No recent software updates or battery work done. Everything was fine until these warnings started appearing simultaneously. Still drives normally but concerned about potential damage if left unchecked. Thinking about getting a professional diagnostic scan since my basic OBD-II reader might not catch all the fault codes in the subsidiary systems.

Thanks for providing those details. Your symptoms actually sound quite different from my case, despite the similar multiple error scenario. The flashing check engine light combined with P0300 (misfire) and P0171 (lean condition) codes suggest a more serious engine-related issue rather than the software glitch I experienced. Based on identical patterns I encountered with other Polo owners on the forums, these specific codes often point to either: Faulty ignition coils (very common on our engines), Clogged fuel injectors, Vacuum leak in the intake system The flashing malfunction indicator is particularly concerning as it indicates active misfiring that could damage the catalytic converter. While the basic diagnostic scanner helped identify these codes, I strongly recommend getting a professional scan done ASAP to check all control modules. When my Polo had similar misfire-related codes a few months before the software issue, the repair involved replacing two ignition coils and cleaning the fuel injectors. Total cost was around 480€ including diagnostics. The multiple system errors cleared up once the engine issues were resolved, as they were likely triggered by the misfiring condition. Would recommend not delaying this repair, even though drivability seems normal now. These symptoms tend to worsen quickly and could lead to more expensive damage.

Based on your feedback, I should definitely get this checked by a professional rather than risk causing more damage. The flashing malfunction indicator and those specific fault codes definitely seem more serious than I initially thought. Went ahead and booked an appointment at a VW specialist workshop tomorrow. They mentioned bringing their professional diagnostic scanner to check all control modules thoroughly, not just the engine system. Makes sense given how the subsidiary systems are showing errors too. The potential fixes you mentioned, ignition coils, injectors, vacuum system, seem reasonable given the symptoms, and 480€ repair cost provides a good reference point. Hopefully catching this early before any drivability issues develop will prevent more extensive damage and higher repair costs. Will update once I get the proper engine diagnostics done and know exactly what needs fixing. Thanks for sharing your experience, helped me understand the urgency of addressing these warning lights properly instead of relying on basic scan tool readings alone.
