VW Golf V TDI: Engine Issues and Fuel Pressure Sensor Location

Hello everyone, I'm currently experiencing some issues with my VW Golf V 1.9 TDI. The engine is hard to start, the fuel economy is poor, the engine shuts off by itself, there's a loss of engine power, and there's jerking on acceleration. I've identified that the problem might be with the fuel pressure sensor, but I'm having trouble locating it for replacement. The error codes I'm getting are P119A00 and P008700. I've tried searching online for a video or guide on how to change it, but all the ones I've found show the sensor on the top part of the engine, which I can't find on my car. Has anyone else encountered this issue or know where the sensor might be located? My car is an automatic UK model, if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for your help!

The fuel pressure sensor on the VW Golf V 1.9 TDI is typically located on the fuel rail. However, in some models, it might be positioned differently. Start by checking around the fuel rail area, which is usually near the top of the engine. If you're still having trouble locating it, consider consulting a repair manual specific to your model or contacting a professional mechanic for assistance. Since this issue affects engine performance and safety, it's important to address it promptly. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

If the fuel rail isn't visible on top, it might be located on the side or back of the engine, closer to the firewall. Try checking those areas for the fuel rail and sensor. If you're still unable to locate it, it might be best to consult a repair manual specific to your vehicle model or have a professional mechanic take a look. Let me know if you manage to find it or if you need more help!
