Hey, I recently had a similar problem with my Golf (2014 model, diesel). In my case, it was a problem with the shock absorbers that led to the bumpy ride. It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't too bad either as it was solved. So the fault with the door contact signal could be a misjudgment, but I'm not a mechanic. Have you been to the garage? Maybe the guys should take another look at it.

Hey, don't worry, I think you can get your Polo running again. After I went to the mechanic, the faulty signal from the door contact was fixed. I didn't have any more problems after that. When it comes to the cost... In my case, it was around €55 because the fuse was faulty. Fortunately, it wasn't too expensive. I think it's definitely worth having it checked before it causes even bigger problems.
