Skoda Yeti Knock Sensor Issue

Alright, petrolheads. My 2016 Skoda Yeti with a gasoline engine is playing up. Check engine light is on, fuel consumption's gone through the roof, and the idling is all over the place. Diagnostic says knock sensor defective. I'm thinking it's a cable or plug issue. Anyone else seen this?

Sounds like a faulty knock sensor. I had similar car problems with my old Renault Megane, same malfunction indicator lamp and poor performance. Have you checked the sensor's wiring?

Wiring, you say? What should I be looking for exactly?

Yeah, a loose or corroded connector can cause all sorts of issues. It's worth checking before replacing the sensor itself. But if the wiring looks fine, best get it checked at the workshop to rule out other causes.

Thanks for the heads up. Turns out it was a dodgy connection, just like you said. 95€ later and it's all sorted.
