Skoda Yeti Heating Issue

I am writing to inquire about a potential issue with my 2009 Skoda Yeti, gasoline engine, with approximately 80448 km. The heating output is too low, and the error memory indicates a fault with the defrost air distribution flap. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar? I am trying to evaluate the situation before contacting a workshop.

I have a Skoda Yeti as well, although I do not recall the exact build year. I experienced a similar issue with the ventilation system. The heating output was significantly reduced, and the climate control seemed unresponsive. I recall reading about potential problems with the air distribution flaps. Have you checked the dashboard panel for any unusual noises when adjusting the temperature or air flow?

Thank you for your response. I have not noticed any unusual noises from the dashboard panel. Do you remember if the error code indicated a specific problem with the defrost air distribution flap, or if it was a more general error related to the heater core?

The error code I encountered also specifically mentioned the defrost air distribution flap. Given the symptoms and error code, I strongly suspect the same issue. Based on my experience, I would recommend having a qualified technician inspect the wiring and connections related to the air distribution system. It is probably a minor issue, but proper diagnosis is crucial. The climate control system can be quite complex.

Thank you for confirming this information. I took the Skoda to the workshop, and the error memory indicated the defrost air distribution flap was indeed faulty. The mechanics found a defective plug connection as expected. The repair cost was 95€. The ventilation system is now working correctly.
