Skoda Yeti Gearbox Issues

I'm having a nightmare with my 2009 Skoda Yeti diesel. Recently the gearbox has started slipping and shifting really uncleanly. I suspect it's a transfer case oil issue, maybe some gear wear inside. I've checked the transfer case oil level, and it seems fine, but I'm worried about oil wear and defective gears. Anyone else experienced this?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel. Gearbox was slipping and shifting felt really rough. Have you checked for any oil leakage around the transfer case?

Interesting. What exactly was the issue with your Opel? And did you notice any specific signs of gear wear, besides the slipping?

Yeah, mine turned out to be defective gears in the transfer case, causing excessive oil wear. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. Could save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

I got it sorted. It was exactly what we suspected. New gears in the transfer case and fresh gear oil did the trick. Cost me about 330€, which isn't as bad as I feared. Thanks again for your help!
