Skoda Yeti Airbag Fault

My 2014 Skoda Yeti diesel has suddenly developed an airbag fault. The airbag warning lamp in the speedometer is constantly lit. Has anyone experienced this? I read somewhere it could be a defective cable or plug connection. What's the deal with car safety these days?!

Sounds like a faulty airbag sensor. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, the SRS light kept coming on. Have you checked the connections under the seats? Sometimes they get loose.

Under the seats, you say? Is that where the airbag sensor usually is? I thought it was somewhere in the steering wheel or dashboard. How difficult is it to check?

Yep, under the seats is a common location. It's usually a simple plug connection. Could be worth a look before you start worrying about an airbag recall or anything major. But honestly, if you're not confident, best get it checked by a professional. Could be a genuine airbag sensor issue.

It was a dodgy connection to the airbag sensor, like you suspected. 95€ later and the SRS light is gone! Thanks for the help!
