Skoda Superb Fault Memory Lock Active Error

I have a 2011 Skoda Superb with a gasoline engine, mileage is 35198 km. Getting a 'Fault memory lock active' error stored in the error memory. I suspect it might be undervoltage, but not sure. Any ideas?

Fault memory lock active on a Skoda Superb can be tricky. I had a similar issue with my Superb. Was the error a persistent one, or did it clear after a while? Have you checked the battery voltage?

It's persistent. I cleared the error memory, but it comes back immediately. How did you resolve the undervoltage issue on your car?

In my case, the control unit locked due to a voltage drop during starting. Think of it like a computer freezing during a process. The automotive diagnostics pointed to a faulty battery and a software glitch in the ECU. I would advise having it checked at a workshop equipped for ECU diagnostics and software revisions to avoid further issues.

Thanks for the input. Took it to a shop that specializes in ECU diagnostics. Turns out it was undervoltage like you mentioned. Cost me 240€ to get it sorted but at least the error is gone.
