Skoda Scala ABS Issues

Has anyone else experienced ABS issues on their 2023 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine? Mine has quite a few kilometers on it and the ABS warning lamp is constantly on. The whole ABS system is offline, and the error memory points to a lateral acceleration sensor fault. I suspect it's a defective control unit.

I had something similar on my Scala. ABS light came on, system went down. Have you checked the wheel alignment?

Wheel alignment? How would that affect the ABS system? Was the lateral sensor the problem for you too?

Sounds like the same thing. It's probably best to get it looked at by a workshop to be sure.

Diagnostic scan confirmed the lateral acceleration sensor fault. The electronic control unit was indeed defective, as suspected. It's sorted now, but cost 1000€ in the end.
