Skoda Roomster Power Window Problem

I understand. I did attempt the reset procedure as described in the owner's manual with no success. My question is: could a faulty window motor also prevent successful initialization, or is the error primarily related to the regulator's learned parameters?

Okay, if the standard reset isn't working, and the error codes specifically mention the regulator initialization, it's less likely to be the window motor itself. A bad motor usually presents with different symptoms, like slow or no movement at all. It is possible there's a deeper electrical issue, or perhaps the Body Control Module (BCM) needs a software adjustment after the battery change. I hate to say it, but sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order to properly diagnose it.

Repair was carried out at a cost of 290€. The window regulator required initialization following the battery replacement, which has now been completed.

Oh man, that sounds frustrating! So, basically, since you disconnected the battery, the car's computer probably forgot the window positions. The 'window regulator' is the mechanical part that moves the window up and down, and it needs to be 'taught' where the top and bottom are. Did you try holding the power window switch up for a few seconds after it's fully closed, and then holding it down for a few seconds after it's fully opened? Sometimes that can reset it. Do all the windows have this problem, or just one?
