Skoda Roomster AC Not Cooling

My 2015 Skoda Roomster with a gasoline engine isn't cooling anymore. The AC system just doesn't switch on. It has 109136 km on the clock. I've read somewhere that individual valves in the AC system can be the culprit. Anyone else experienced this? What about AC efficiency and AC noise, mine is silent now. Is this possibly related?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Roomster. The AC just stopped working. First thing I'd check is the AC relay. It's a cheap fix if that's the issue. Does the blower motor work? If not, could be that too. It's like when a fuse blows in your house and the lights go out, same principle. Another thing to consider is checking the temperature control settings, if these are not correct, it might seem as the AC is not working. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the tips! Where is the AC relay located? And how would I check the blower motor? Is there a way to test it?

Okay, so I'm not an expert, but if the blower motor isn't running, you won't get any air at all, regardless of how cold the AC should be. The relay location can vary, you will have to do some research online, or check the owner's manual. Honestly, if you aren't comfortable poking around, I'd suggest taking it to a mechanic. It sounds like you already suspect a valve issue, and those aren't exactly DIY-friendly. Could be the AC relay but also it could be several things. I would just go to the mechanic. It will be worth the money.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was a valve issue in the AC system. Cost me about 1000€ to fix. Now it's blowing cold air again!
