Interesting! When you say 'acting up', do you mean completely dead, or just not moving correctly? And did it also cause overheating or just the check engine light?

Mine was completely dead. The fault code pointed directly to the active air flap. Overheating was definitely a symptom, along with the check engine light. If you are not experienced, I suggest you go to the workshop.

Thanks for the insights! The shop confirmed it was the active air flap electromechanism. The bill was 590€, but the overheating is gone and the check engine light is off!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Rapid, though I can't remember the exact fault code. Was the air intake or grille shutter mentioned at all? Could be the flap motor acting up.
