Skoda Rapid Diesel Glow Plug Issue

That's interesting, I hadn't considered the relay. Where is the glow plug relay located, and is there a way to test it without specialized equipment? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary workshop visits if possible.

Honestly, testing the relay properly can be tricky without the right tools. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty glow plug. If you're getting a specific error code pointing to the plugs, and the light won't go off, chances are you're on the right track. To be safe, I'd recommend getting it checked out by a professional. They can pinpoint the exact cause and ensure everything is running smoothly. Don't want to risk damaging the diesel engine further, you know?

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds very similar to what I'm encountering. Given the error code and the persistent preheating light, I'll take your advice and bring it to a trusted workshop for a thorough diagnosis. The estimated cost is around 440€, hopefully they can sort it out without further complications.

Sounds like you've got a glow plug issue alright. I had a similar problem with my Skoda Rapid a while back. Preheating lamp stayed on, engine light came on, and it was throwing an error. Have you checked the glow plug relay? Sometimes that can be the culprit instead of the plugs themselves. It's like a fuse box for your glow plugs.
