Skoda Praktik Power Window Problems

Help! My 2007 Skoda Praktik with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The power windows have stopped working, and there's an error stored. With that mileage, could a defective power window switch really kill the whole window regulator? I'm dreading having to take the door panel off...

Sounds like a classic window regulator motor issue. Is there any noise coming from the door when you try to use the power windows? Have you checked the fuses?

No noise at all. Fuses are fine. Could it really be the window regulator motor itself? Or is it maybe something simpler, like a bad connection or the power window switch?

If there's no noise, and the fuses are okay, it's less likely to be the regulator motor itself. A faulty power window switch is a common culprit. Could also be wiring, but seems like you need to get to the door panel to check the window mechanism properly, unless you are familiar with that I would go to the workshop.

Big thanks for the help! I got it sorted at the workshop. Turns out it was a faulty power window switch as suspected. Cost me around 200€, but at least the window mechanism works again!
