Skoda Praktik Fuel Flap Problems

Yep, central locking is solid everywhere else. Key fob operates all doors and the tailgate just fine. Is there any way to test the release mechanism or lock actuator itself without ripping the bloody thing apart?

Given the symptoms, and that other locking systems are functional, it does strongly suggest a fault within the fuel filler flap's release mechanism or its associated electrical circuit. Repair might be necessary, consider a visit to a workshop.

Cheers for the confirmation and advice. Ended up biting the bullet and taking the 2008 Skoda Praktik to a workshop. As suspected, the lock actuator was buggered. Repair came to about 210€, parts and labor included. Fuel flap opens like a charm now!

I understand you are experiencing issues with your fuel filler flap. To clarify, does the central locking system respond correctly to the key fob for all other doors and the trunk? An electrical fault could manifest in this manner.
