Skoda Octavia Diesel Water Sensor Issue

My 2015 Skoda Octavia diesel is throwing up some errors. The check engine light is on, and the engine occasionally runs rough. The error memory indicates a water sensor malfunction. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the culprit?

I had a similar issue with my Octavia. The malfunction indicator lamp kept coming on, and the engine ran rough at times. Did you check the sensor testing values? Maybe the sensor itself is faulty. What error code did you get?

I haven't done any sensor testing myself. Where is the water sensor located, and how can I check the connection? The error memory showed a generic 'water sensor malfunction' message.

Yes, it does sound very similar to what I experienced. I didn't bother checking myself and went straight to the workshop. They confirmed it was a bad connection to the moisture sensor. Saved me a lot of time and hassle. Probably best to get it checked professionally.

Thanks for the insights. Turns out it was indeed the water sensor. The workshop confirmed a faulty connection. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted.
