Skoda Karoq Headlight Range Control Problem

The headlight switch seems fine, and the light intensity changes when I turn the dial. But how would a faulty headlight switch cause the low beam to point too far down or up? And what do you mean by 'adaptive headlights stuck'? I'm not sure what to look for.

Okay, so the headlight switch seems okay. As for the adaptive headlights, they should move slightly when you turn the steering wheel or go over bumps. If they're not moving at all, that's a clue. But if the light intensity is fine, the headlight switch is less likely the problem. Honestly, with the error code and the beam pointing in weird directions, it really does sound like a servomotor issue. Or maybe the control module itself. I'd say bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the faulty parts. It’s probably not something you can easily fix yourself without the right tools and knowledge.

Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was a busted servomotor in the headlight. Cost me 1040€ to get it fixed. Now the headlight range control works again, and the warning light is gone. Thanks a bunch for your help!

Hmm, sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The headlights were doing crazy things, shining all over the place. For me it was like the car was drunk, the lighting system was totally out of whack. First thing I'd check is the headlight switch itself. Could be a simple electrical issue. Also, are your adaptive headlights working properly, or are they stuck in one position? What does the error memory say exactly? Could be the control module too. It's a process of elimination, really.
