Skoda Karoq AdBlue Issue

I've got a bit of a problem with my 2021 Skoda Karoq diesel. It's got about 53347 km on it. The AdBlue tank seems to be empty, even though I filled it up not too long ago. Now I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, and the car won't start. The error memory also has something stored. Could this be related to emissions control or the emission standards it has to adhere to?

AdBlue issues can be tricky. Since you're getting an error message and the engine won't start, it's definitely more than just a low fluid level warning. Have you checked the error codes to see if they specifically point to the AdBlue injection system? Also, do you know if the pump is running when the system is trying to inject DEF fluid? The tank capacity on your Karoq should be around 13 liters, so it shouldn't be running dry too quickly unless there's a leak or a fault in the injection system.

How would I check if the pump is running? I'm not really familiar with the AdBlue injection system. And where exactly is the pump located?

It sounds like you have a defective AdBlue output from the tank. Unfortunately, checking the pump requires specialized tools to actuate it and see if it’s working, and the location can vary. Given the symptoms and error codes, a visit to a workshop would be a good idea to diagnose the injection system and any potential leaks. Ignoring this could cause further damage to the system.

Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. The AdBlue output from the tank was indeed the problem. Repair cost me around 250€. Thanks a bunch for the help!
