Thanks for the quick reply! When you say electrical fault, do you mean a broken wire or just a loose connection? Where exactly is the water sensor located? I'm not very familiar with auto electronics.

Yes, in my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector on the water sensor. This caused an intermittent electrical fault. I recommend inspecting the connector and cable carefully. However, due to the potential complexity of modern car diagnostics and auto electronics, I would recommend visiting a workshop to avoid causing further damage.

Thanks a lot for the help! It turned out to be a defective connector on the water sensor, just like you suspected. The auto electronics workshop charged me 95€ to fix the electrical fault. Everything's running smoothly again.

I had a similar sensor issue with my Skoda Kamiq. The car diagnostics pointed to a faulty water sensor as well. Could be an electrical fault. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the sensor?
