Sensor testing? How did you do that? And which sensor was faulty for you? Was it also the oxygen sensor? I'm not really sure about the air-fuel ratio, but I read something about it online. Any further details would be appreciated.

Yes, it was the oxygen sensor for me too. I didn't do the sensor testing myself; I took it to a workshop. They told me the sensor was bad and that it probably damaged because a car component was defective. If the cable looks ok, I would just go to a workshop and have them check it out. They can measure the sensor values and tell you for sure.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I took it to the local garage, and you were right, it was the oxygen sensor. They checked the wiring as well. Total cost was 95€ including the sensor. Now the check engine light is off, and hopefully, the fuel consumption will go back to normal.

Sounds like a faulty sensor. I had a similar issue with my Citigo. The check engine light was on, and the car was drinking fuel. Have you tried any sensor testing? Could be the air-fuel ratio is off.
