That's interesting. The CAN bus is something I was suspecting as well. Could you perhaps elaborate on the symptoms that led you to believe it was a CAN bus issue? Did you also experience control unit communication problems?

Indeed. The symptoms were strikingly similar: overheating, check engine light, and communication fault codes related to various sensors. Given the interconnected nature of modern automotive systems, a software glitch or CAN bus issue can manifest in myriad ways. While I am no expert, it would be prudent to have the wiring and control units thoroughly inspected.

Your input proved invaluable. Following your advice, I brought my 2019 Skoda Citigo to the workshop. The car diagnostics confirmed a defective cable connection to the control unit causing a communication fault, precisely as suspected. The repair cost amounted to 95€. The engine overheating issue and coolant spill are now resolved. Thank you.

Engine overheating in a Citigo, accompanied by coolant spills and check engine light? Sounds awfully familiar. Did you by any chance experience any issues that suggest CAN bus errors?
