Seeking Solutions for Audio and Navigation System Issues in 2020 Seat Tarraco Diesel

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I'm struggling with an odd issue in my 2020 Seat Tarraco Diesel. The audio system has gone quiet and the navigation system just stopped working. I suspect things are linked to limited function on the audio system, but not entirely sure. Has anyone experienced this before and had it figured out at a workshop? Would really appreciate any tips and shared experiences on troubleshooting this. Cheers!

Hey there! Sounds like a frustrating situation you're in. I'm not an expert but I do have some experience with cars. I had a similar problem with my 2018 Seat Leon a couple of years back. My bass speaker was faulty and it affected my overall audio system, including the navigation. I took it to a trusted local mechanic. They replaced the speakers and everything went back to optimal working condition, at a price tag of 280 Euro. It could be your case, might be worth a check. Anyway, could you give us more information about your issue? Does the audio system become quiet randomly? Also, how often does your navigation system turn off? The more details, the better I might be able to help. Keep your chin up! We'll figure this out.

Hi there, thanks for your supportive words and sharing your experience. It's not that the system becomes quiet randomly, rather it's a constant silence since this problem started. And about the navigation, well, it just stopped working altogether a few days ago. I might just follow your advice and take it to a trusted mechanic I know. Thinking that it's high time, especially given that my Tarraco has already clocked 171740 KM and the last service was a while ago. Just a headache you don't want, you know what I mean? Anyway, thanks for the assistance. Drive safe!

Hey, absolutely feel your pain. A car's silence can indeed be deafening, especially when the tunes and the navigator should rock the ride. Now, the way you've described it, the simultaneous failure of audio and navigation directs me to suspect something potentially wrong with your infotainment unit itself. Seat infotainment systems are usually quite robust, but much like anything, they're not immune to some malfunctions with age and use. With the mileage and timeframe since your last service, this issue might just serve as a good reminder to get that overdue checkup. A good mechanic should be able to help you best diagnose the exact problem; whether it's an issue with the speakers, the main unit, or maybe even some wiring. By the way, when you do take your Tarraco in, remember to ask if they can run a thorough diagnostics on the car as well to ensure that you're not overlooking any other minor or potentially burgeoning issues. Best of luck and don't stress too much. You'll get it sorted. Keep us posted with updates, hopefully it's all resolved soon. Take care on those roads!
