Hi! That's some solid advice you gave, and yeah, my Tarraco is really giving me the grumpy cat vibes right now, haha! Do you happen to remember roughly how much it ended up costing to get the vent lines replaced? And have you had any recurring issues or other engine problems spring up since then? Guess I'm just trying to brace myself for what could come my way. Cheers and stay safe!

Hey! I remember that repair bill all too well - it hit my wallet at 205 € but it was worth every penny. That took care of the sinister Vent lines from the tank to the valve whose mischief caused the Tank ventilation system to act like a total spoilsport. As for recurring issues after the fix, knock on wood, but nah, none whatsoever. It's been smooth sailing since getting that sorted. Haven't had any more instances of the DMTL valve throwing a hissy fit or engine getting all shaky and nervous. So cheer up, once you get this sorted, I reckon your Tarraco should start purring like a happy cat instead of giving you its current grumpy face. Stay safe and good luck with the repairs! Cheers.

Hey, that's quite a relief to hear! 205 € doesn't seem too steep for peace of mind and reliable driving. Good to know you've had no problems afterward. I'll definitely have this checked out as soon as possible. Need my Tarraco to turn from grumpy to happy, haha! And hey, thanks for sharing your experiences and solid advice. It did help to alleviate my anxiety a bit. Stay safe and cheers!

Hey there! Your hunch about the tank ventilation system seems right, though obviously, I can't diagnose it for sure just from a message. Got a similar problem with my 2019 Seat Ateca a while back. The symptoms were almost identical: check engine light, engine was acting like a grumpy cat, and yes, that scary sudden power loss. Turned out it was the vent lines from the tank to valve, they were defective. My mechanic explained that these lines facilitate outflow of gases from the fuel tank to the DMTL valve, and if they're faulty, well, you get issues like ours. It was a pretty serious issue 'cause these symptoms can lead to more serious engine damage if ignored, not to mention the safety hazard of unexpected power loss while driving. Had to get it fixed at a decent garage. They replaced the defective vent lines and did all the necessary checks to ensure the stuff was working good again. Hope you can get it sorted soon. Make sure to choose a competent mechanic, says a lot from my experience. Cheers.
