Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting 2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid's Electrical and Sensor Issues

Hey folks! I've been facing some issues with my 2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid. It's not acting right and giving me some signs like faulty park distance control, overall electric problems, and an odd warning light on my speedo. The fault is also stored and showing up consistently. I'm suspecting it might be a radar sensor issue, but I'm not completely sure. Has anyone out there faced similar issues? Can you share your experiences about what the exact problem was and how you fixed it at the workshop? Any advice or insight would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey! I encountered a similar snag with my 2021 Renault Captur Hybrid a while back. It's not an identical model, but in the same family and close enough to be relevant. I'm a DIY enthusiast with some car experience, not a mechanic or pro by any stretch. The issue for me also pointed to sensor problems and, amusingly enough, your suspicions might be right. It turned out that my sensor just needed a good cleaning. Had to part with 45 euro at my local workshop for the cleaning job. They explained that dirt and grime hideouts interfere with the sensor, messing up its function and spewing errors and warnings. It was a pretty straightforward fix once they diagnosed the problem correctly. May I ask, do you know if your vehicle has been recently checked by a mechanic or had any changes made to it? That info could be insightful for troubleshooting. Hope this helps!

Thanks a ton for the quick response! Yeah, the last visit to the workshop was just a tad over a month ago. Had the basic yearly service and everything seemed fine then, which is why this is kinda baffling me. It has 27742 km on it, so it's not exactly new, but not that old either to be giving out warnings so soon. Based on your suggestion, I think I'm gonna take it to the workshop first thing tomorrow and have them take a look at the sensor cleaning bit. Fingers crossed, hope it sorts out. Cheers for the help!

Hey, no problem at all! Always happy to share what little I know. Your car's age and mileage actually sounds like a pretty typical time to start seeing these sorts of sensor-related problems. The sensors are generally quite robust, but they're not immune to wear-n-tear, dust, or road grime, especially if you happen to drive on muddy or dusty roads often. But your recent service might have missed a naughty layer of grime on the sensors, who knows! Definitely, it's a smart move to have the guys check it out at the shop. Who knows, it might be as simple as giving it a good scrub. Alternatively, they might discover it's a more intricate problem masked by sensor errors. Got my fingers crossed for you too that it's just a minor glitch. It's usually cheap and quick to get sorted out. Anyway, keep us looped in on what they find! Safe driving till then. Cheers!

Really appreciate the moral support and the extensive advice you've given! I do drive on dusty roads quite a bit, so the accumulated dirt scenario is entirely plausible. Let's put faith in the experts, and hopefully, it's just a minor cleaning job needed. If it's anything more, I trust they'll take care of it. I'll definitely keep you posted about what the folks at the workshop come up with! Safe and happy driving to you too. Thanks again! Cheers!
