Hey, nice to know I'm not alone in this. My Argo has clocked about 144091 km already. As for the fluid check, did it during the last service, but it's been a while now. I'll probably swing by the workshop and get the coolant level checked soon. Thanks for the reassurance!

Well it seems like your Argo has done a fair bit of distance. My Uno had around the 120,000km mark when this whole drama unfolded. Based on that and my personal experience, it’s highly probable that the low coolant level is causing the overheating and the pesky warning light. Remember, when the coolant level drops, your motor gets no respite from the heat generated by continuous operation. So, a fluid top-up might be all the fix you need. Glad to hear you're planning to hit the workshop soon. Just hang tight and, finger crossed, it's just a low coolant issue as I had. Let's hope for the best! Do keep us posted. Good luck!

Thanks for all the insight, really appreciate it. I'm heading to the workshop tomorrow for a fluid top-up and hopefully that's the end of the saga. I'll definitely keep you updated. Cheers for the support and fingers crossed indeed!

Hey there, I feel your pain. I had a similar episode with my 2018 Fiat Uno, diesel version. Looks like we're in the same boat, eh? While I'm no expert or mechanic, I do play around with my car a bit, so let's say I've got some experience under my belt. Anyway, here's my story: the same warning light flashed up and almost gave me a heart attack. I went through the same horror of noticing my coolant was dangerously low. Immediately, I took her to my local workshop cause I wasn't about to take any risks. The kind there pinpointed the problem, guess what, it was the exact same issue, Coolant level too low. They topped it up and it cost me just 52€. Can you tell me a bit more about your Argo? How many miles have you done and when was the last time you did a fluid check? It might just help you dodge that proverbial bullet. Keep your chin up it might be simpler than you think!
