Hey there! Can relate to the madness, ran into the same issue with my own Tarraco last year. What a wild ride that was. Just a small query- When you had the electric fan control module replaced, do you recall what it set you back? And has your Leon thrown any further tantrums since the fix? Thanks and cheers for the help!

Yo, Yeah, I totally get your curiosity. The bill for fixing the control unit for the electric fan hit me about 480€. A chunk of change, but it helped me smooth out the kinks and get my Leon running like a dream again. And to answer your second question - since the fix, my Leon's been as cool as a cucumber. No further fit-throwing, and the air con's been chilling well too. The mechanic visit did the trick. So, might be a weighty upfront cost, but it's been worth every cent for uninterrupted, smooth rides. Cheers and hope things settle down with your Tarraco soon!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's always good to know you're not sailing troubled waters alone. Your info is super helpful. Catching the right mechanic is gonna be key, I realise. The €480 figure is a bit twitchy, but I guess when you factor in the peace of mind and smooth sailings ahead, it should be worth it. Besides, no amount too high for my Tarraco to purr like a kitten again! Thanks again for the advice. Going to get this sorted ASAP. Cheers!

Hey, Just had a similar issue with my 2018 Seat Leon. Thought I was dealing with an AC gone rogue but turned out the issue was deeper. The culprit was a defective Electric fan “control unit”. Just like you, I was dealing with an overheated engine and a stubborn air con that only blew warm air, no matter the setting. It's tempting to lose your head, but don't. It might sound serious, but it's a common issue with Seat models, and most mechanics should have experience fixing them. Mine was sorted out after they replaced the faulty electric fan module. But, always a word of caution, make sure you go to a reputable garage. It's not the most straightforward job, particularly if you're dealing with a hybrid, so you want to make sure you've got a pro working on it. Hope that helps and don't worry, you're not alone in this. Good luck!
