Seeking Advice on 2019 Dacia Sandero's Electrical Glitches and Navigation System Issues

Hey! I'm a bit worried about my 2019 Dacia Sandero (gasoline, mileage of 115k km) which has been acting up lately. Last time I barely survived a trip to the mechanic, so I thought I'd reach out here first. I’ve noticed a few troublesome symptoms; a general electric glitch, the navigation system's out to lunch, and a warning light keeps popping up on the speedometer. My gut tells me it's probably an issue with a Flex-Ray bus error. Any of you ever run into something like this before? How was your experience getting it fixed at the mechanic? I'd appreciate any insights or experiences you could share. Cheers!

Hey there, Ah I feel you. I got a 2016 Dacia Logan here, had a similar situation not too long ago. Noticed a bunch of electrical problems out of nowhere, and then my touchscreen went kaput. Realising that the issue could be an error with the CAN-FlexRay connection, was low-key freaking out, to be honest! So, what I did? Drove to my mechanic - luckily, it's reliable despite it acting like a haunted house on wheels. We popped the hood and spent some good amount of time there. Found out that it was indeed a defective cable connection between the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and the touchscreen. The good news is it wasn't as serious as it sounds. Mechanic had to do a connection check, a bit of rewiring, and replace a plug that was causing the error. It took about half a day's work. Since then, it's been riding smooth, no more poltergeist act. So maybe see if the same is with your Sandero. Good luck! Hope you get it sorted without too much fuss.

Oi I'm listening to you guys and seriously getting flashbacks with my own Dacia Sandero that gave me a bout of headaches last year. Ended up being a dodgy connection in the CAN-bus network that caused all the electrical shenanigans. Bloody nightmare! Can you recall actually how much you had to fork out for the repair? Also, has anything else acted up since then? Just wondering, as I'm trying to avoid any more nasty surprises. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Good to see you on here! And yeah, skittish computers and dodgy wiring can really do a number on otherwise solid cars, huh? I remember the repairs for the cable connection and that darn defective plug ran me about 155€. Not exactly pocket change, but definitely worth it for the peace of mind, you know? Since getting that sorted out with the mechanic, I've not had a single problem with the Flex-Ray bus error. Been all gravy as far as electrical stuff goes. Just goes to show that sometimes it's the simplest fixes that end up doing the trick, eh? Cheers and good luck with your own Sandero - hope it stays more 'car' than 'haunted house' from now on!

Hey chaps, It feels great to know I'm not struggling alone here. And wow, I can't thank you enough for sharing your experiences - it really takes a load off! Can't believe we own these modern boxes of tricks and can't even enjoy a smooth trip without a little dash of paranormal! Seems like both of your issues steer towards dodgy cable connections. I'm definitely gonna mention a possible ECU and FlexRay connection glitch to my mechanic. And fingers crossed, it'll be just as easy to solve as yours turned out to be. Ha! Might need to set aside around 155€ according to your numbers. But hey, it's gonna be worth it to finally ghost-bust my dear Dacia. Thanks again guys, for the guidance and well wishes. I'll make sure to update you once it's fixed. Keep motoring & no more spectres in our Sanderos! Cheers!
