Howdy, Thanks for the reply and it's great to know you got your issues sorted out. About mine, it clocked 155353 KM already, and I maintain a regular service schedule. Last service was around a thousand KM back. No major problems besides this. I'd thought about it just being a regular wear and tear but the noises seemed unusual. I'll definitely look into the Valve cable connection issue you mentioned. I admit, it wasn't on my radar. Thanks again for the advice. Will get her checked out soon and let you guys know. Fingers crossed it's nothing too major. Catch you guys soon.

Hey there, Sounds like you're on top of your game with the regular servicing - that's good news! Your Bongo's mileage isn't too high for a '08 model. Given your described symptoms and your regular maintenance, I'm thinking this isn't just standard wear and tear since those grinding and whining noises are certainly not to be ignored. My earlier ordeal taught me that transmission troubles can appear from myriad sources. The valve cable issue was an eye-opener for me, and your case could be different still. That’s why it’ll be beneficial to have a comprehensive diagnostics run. Definitely get it to a trusted mechanic who's familiar with the Bongo model. If it turns out to be the valve cable issue like mine, count yourself lucky because that’s pretty manageable on costs. But remember, the sooner you get it checked, the better chance you have of minimizing any potential damage. Keep us all in the loop with how it progresses for you. Best of luck! Catch ya!

Cheers You're spot on. I've learnt from past experiences that unusual noises are usually the first signs of something wrong. I have a trusted mechanic who specializes in Kias - especially the Bongo. I'll head over to his workshop in a couple of days to run a thorough diagnostic check on it. I do hope it ain't anything too major, but either way, gotta get her fixed. You're right about the diverse causes of transmission troubles. The complexity of these issues always gets me. But hey, that's what makes it an adventure, doesn't it? Will definitely keep you guys posted after I visit the mechanic. I appreciate your advice and the benefit of your experience. It's really comforting knowing there's a community like this I can turn to. Cheers for now and catch you guys on the flip side!

Hey there, Went through something similar with my '06 Kia Venga not too long ago. I'd classify myself as having low car experience, so I ended up taking it to my local workshop. Turned out, the issue wasn't with the transmission oil pressure cooler, but the Valve cable connection was defective. Set me back about 170 Euro to get it squared away. Definitely get your vehicle checked out before jumping to conclusions, and don't rule out the valve cable connection. Can you share more about your vehicle: maintenance history, mileage, any other issues? Hopefully, we can figure this out! Keep us posted. Cheers!
