Seat Leon estate problems with the DPF

Hi guys, I am having problems with my Seat Leon Diesel 2015. There is black smoke when accelerating, the check engine light is on, the engine is losing power and the DPF is not regenerating as it should. In addition, the exhaust smells quite strong. I suspect that my diesel particulate filter could be quite loaded. Do any of you have experience with such symptoms or any troubleshooting tips? Would love to know how your garage fixed the problem. Hi, yes, I had the same thing happen to my 2013 Seat Ibiza - a similar model. I would say I have a low to medium level of experience when it comes to car repairs, but for something bigger like this I trusted my garage. In my case it was like yours, the diesel particulate due to the high mileage was faulty. It cost me 1550 euros, but since then it has been running like clockwork again and the black smoke has completely disappeared. The worst thing is not knowing what's going on, right? But I wouldn't panic too much. At my garage they also told me that this failure of the DPF on run-up diesels is a thing that can unfortunately happen. It's annoying and a bit expensive, but everything should be fine afterwards. If you have a good mechanic or a reliable garage, I would have it checked out there. My recommendation is that you give preference to the Bilstein products because of their quality and durability if you have to change the partial filter.
