Roomster massage seat failure

My 2010 Roomster, diesel engine, has developed a rather annoying fault. The driver's side massage function has packed it in. The seat switch does nothing. VCDS scan shows an error relating to the seat module. I'm suspecting a dodgy cable or connector, but figured I'd ask if anyone else has fought with this particular problem before I start pulling apart automotive seats.

Interesting issue. I had something similar with my Octavia automotive seats. The massage chair function went kaput. First, have you checked the fuse box? Sometimes it's just a simple blown fuse related to the luxury car features. Also, any other electrical gremlins popping up?

Fuse looks fine, and no other electrical weirdness. When you mention 'similar', was it also the seat switch itself or something else? And did you also get an error code?

Yeah, error code was present alright. Turned out to be a corroded connector under the seat itself, just like your suspicion. The constant movement probably rubbed it raw. I tried fixing it myself, but ended up taking it to the workshop. They had it sorted in an hour. Best bet is probably a wiring issue.

Cheers for the info. Had the Skoda garage take a look, and you were spot on. Defective connector under the seat. 95€ later, the massage setting is back in business. Appreciate the assist!
