Thanks for your answer. My Cascada has driven 79490 km so far and the last service was about half a year ago. I have noticed that the problems occur after longer journeys on the highway, maybe it is related to overheating. Your experience gives me hope that it's nothing worse. I will definitely have it checked at the garage!

Hey, I'm glad that my experience has given you some encouragement. Your Cascada already has a few kilometers on the clock. It's quite possible that your car, just like my Insignia, simply needs a part replacing. Longer journeys on the highway can of course put more strain on the gearbox, so there could be something wrong with the overheating. Have it checked at the garage, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious! Keep us posted on what they say, will you? All the best!

Great, thanks for the advice! Yes, the Cascada has already done a few kilometers, but I hope it will last a while longer. I'll have it checked at the garage next week and will definitely let you know what I find out. Thanks again for your help and support! See you then!

Hi, I had similar problems with my 2015 Opel Insignia. I only have a little experience with cars, so I took the car to my local mechanic. The diagnosis was "defective valve cable connection". It cost me 170,0 euros to fix it, but since then the gearbox is working fine again. Still, it could be that your problem is something else. Could you share more about the condition of your vehicle? Any additional information could help with the diagnosis. Let us know!
