Hi, thanks for your reply! My Roc T VW is from 2020 and so far I have driven about 25000 km with it. I realize that there could be many possible reasons for these symptoms. But your point about the turbocharger seems to make sense, although of course I hope it doesn't need such an expensive repair. I think it might be best if I just go to the garage and have it checked. Do you have any tips on what I should look out for when I take the car to the garage? Many thanks in advance!

I had exactly the same problem last year with my Golf VI VW (diesel engine). So you're not alone with this problem. Believe me, I can understand your situation, I also wondered whether a deviation in the boost pressure control could be the cause. Well, on my car at the time, the problem was actually the deviation in the boost pressure control. Most likely a faulty sensor was the cause - a small part, but it can cause a lot of trouble if it doesn't work, especially on newer models like yours. I can sympathize with you, you feel like you're losing your mind when you hear that constant hissing and whistling. It happened to me once on the highway and let me tell you, it was no fun. Costs a few euros, but if you wait too long, it can be even more expensive. Tell them directly that you suspect a deviation in the boost pressure control and that they should check the sensor. The workshop should be able to solve the problem relatively quickly. In my case, it cost around 600 euros, which wasn't exactly cheap, but nowhere near as expensive as if the turbocharger broke. Since then, I've had no more problems and the car runs perfectly again. So, keep at it and don't get discouraged! Good luck, buddy!

Hi, thanks for your reply! I guess I really shouldn't waste any more time and go to the garage. 600 euros is still better than 1070 euros. And yes, the hissing and whistling while driving is really annoying. Thanks for the tip, I'll tell the garage about the sensor and hopefully they can fix the problem. Well, it's always something with cars, isn't it? But good to know you haven't had any other problems. I hope it will be the same with my car. Thanks again for your help and advice. They are really valuable. All the best!

Hey everyone, I have a problem with my Audi A6 BiTDI (313 hp) that I can't solve. It only sporadically goes into limp mode - so not every day and not really predictably. When it happens, it throws the error... Has anyone had the same problem or an idea what could be causing this? Maybe a typical issue with this engine? I would be really grateful for any tips or experiences!

Start by checking the basics: ensure that all electrical connections, especially those related to the turbocharger and sensors, are secure and free from corrosion. A common cause for limp mode can be a faulty sensor, such as the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor or a boost pressure sensor. If you have access to a diagnostic tool, scan for error codes to pinpoint the issue. If the problem persists, it might be best to have a professional mechanic inspect it, as driving in limp mode can sometimes indicate a more serious underlying issue. Let me know how it goes or if you have further questions!

Hello, I had similar problems with my Passat B6 VW (diesel engine), but it's from 2016, so it's a bit older. In my case, the problem was mechanical damage to the turbocharger. In desperation, I drove straight to the garage. They repaired it there for a fee of 1070 euros. Quite annoying, but what can you do. Since then, the car has been running like clockwork again. Perhaps you could give more details about your vehicle? Year of manufacture, kilometers driven, etc.? Then I might be able to help you better. I hope that helps you a bit.
