Hi, thanks for your reply. Sounds like something that could also be the case with my Leon. My mileage is currently 43128 km and the last service was a few months ago. I don't have the chassis number to hand at the moment, no problem, I'll probably have my door lock checked. Many thanks for the tip!

Hey, no problem, glad I could help! Given the mileage and condition of your car, a faulty door lock definitely sounds like a possibility. Ask the garage about it specifically, they should be able to diagnose it quickly. It shouldn't be too expensive to replace either. And don't stress about the chassis number, was just meant to make it more specific. Wish you good luck and hope this solves your problem!

Super! Thank you very much for your support, that really reassures me. I'll make an appointment at the garage soon and ask them to take a closer look at my door lock. Thank you for your helpful tips. I hope that solves my problem!

Hi, I'm not a car professional but would describe myself as someone with some experience. I had a very similar problem with my 2016 Seat Ibiza Diesel, it turned out that my door lock was faulty. I had it checked at my local garage and they suggested a replacement, which turned out to be correct. The replacement and labor cost a total of 430 euros. Do you happen to have your chassis number with you? Then I could perhaps go into more detail about your problem.
