Thanks for detailing your experience. The windshield fogging issues and electrical problems match what Im dealing with. The dashboard warning lights started appearing more frequently last week too. This helps confirm my suspicion about the humidity sensor being the root cause. Before I head to a shop, can you remember roughly what the repair cost you? Also, have you experienced any recurring issues since the fix?

After getting the repair done last month, all windshield fogging and dashboard warning issues have completely cleared up. The mechanic traced the problem to a faulty cable connection at the humidity sensor, which was causing the climate control system to malfunction. The fix was straightforward and cost 95 Euro for replacing the damaged connector and testing the car sensor network. Much cheaper than I initially feared, considering how many systems were affected. No recurring issues since the repair. The climate control works perfectly now, and all the related electrical systems like mirror heating and washer nozzles are functioning as they should. The key was finding a mechanic who properly diagnosed the root cause rather than just clearing the error codes. My advice would be to specifically ask them to inspect the sensor wiring connections, as this seems to be a known weak point in these models.

Finally got the repair done yesterday. The mechanic found exactly what you described, corroded wiring connections at the humidity sensor cluster. They had to replace the entire sensor array and rewire several connections, which set me back 380 Euro. More than your repair but still reasonable considering the scope of the problem. The car sensor network is now working properly. All the comfort systems are back online, AC blows cold, mirrors heat up, and washer nozzles work great. No more windshield fogging issues or warning lights on the dash. Found a good mechanic who took time to explain the sensor calibration process and showed me the damaged parts. Definitely worth shopping around for the right shop. Really glad I asked here before jumping into unusual repairs.

I had a similar issue on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018. The climate control and related systems started failing one after another. The root cause turned out to be corroded wiring connections at the main sensor cluster, causing multiple malfunction codes. The visibility systems, including heated mirrors and washer nozzles, share a common ground connection in these models. When humidity sensor calibration fails, it can trigger a cascade of electrical issues affecting multiple comfort systems. Key diagnostic steps from my repair experience: Check all ground connections near the sensor cluster, Test the humidity sensor resistance values, Verify power supply to the climate control module, Inspect wiring harness for signs of water intrusion This was a serious issue requiring complete replacement of the sensor array and rewiring of several connections. The problem can worsen if left unaddressed, potentially affecting other electrical systems. Make sure your mechanic checks the complete sensor network rather than just replacing individual components. The stored error code points to the humidity sensor, but the underlying issue often involves the entire comfort control system wiring.
