Multiple Electrical Failures in Voyager, Starting Issues

Having trouble with my 2021 Chrysler Voyager that suddenly developed multiple issues. The car starting problem is the most concerning, engine refuses to turn over. Also noticed the gear display in the speedometer is dead, cruise control stopped working, and there are error codes stored. I suspect a faulty switch at the clutch pedal might be causing these electrical faults, but not entirely sure. Has anyone dealt with similar symptoms and gotten them fixed? Particularly interested in workshop experiences and repair solutions that worked. What components did they end up replacing to solve the issue? Any diagnostic tips would be appreciated.

Having some experience with electrical issues, I encountered almost identical symptoms on my 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. The car starting problems and electrical glitches had me worried at first. After bringing it to my regular workshop, they diagnosed a faulty switch connection at the clutch pedal sensor. The cables and plug connections had deteriorated, causing intermittent electrical failures across multiple systems. This explained why the gear display, cruise control, and other electronics were acting up. The repair involved replacing the wiring harness and sensor connections near the pedal assembly. Total cost was 95€ for parts and labor. Since the fix, all systems have been working perfectly with no car stalling or starting issues. To better assist with your situation, could you share: Any warning lights on the dashboard? Does this happen more often when the engine is cold or warm? Can you hear the starter motor attempting to turn? Have you noticed any correlation between weather conditions and these issues? Getting these details would help determine if your Voyager is experiencing the same root cause as my Pacifica had.

Thanks for the feedback on the clutch switch issue. Just had my 62778 KM service done last week and started experiencing these problems right after. I hear a clicking sound from the starter but no actual cranking. The safety switch diagnostic test the mechanic ran showed normal readings, but the electrical fault persists when trying to start the car. Multiple error codes keep popping up on every ignition attempt. The weird part is all these electrical issues seem to happen together, pointing to a possible central connection problem rather than individual component failures.

Thanks for the additional details about the timing of these issues appearing after your service. This actually mirrors what happened with my Pacifica, the problems surfaced shortly after routine maintenance too, which suggests the connection issues might have been disturbed during the service work. The clicking sound without proper cranking, combined with the gear selector display and other electrical failures, points to a potential ground connection problem rather than just the clutch pedal switch as I initially thought. The service work may have accidentally loosened or damaged a main ground connection. In my case, while the faulty switch was part of the problem, the mechanics eventually traced it to a corroded main ground strap that was causing similar widespread electrical issues. When they cleaned and secured all ground points, the car starting problems and electrical glitches were fully resolved. Given your symptoms match so closely, I would suggest: Having all main ground connections inspected and cleaned, Checking the battery terminal connections, Testing the starter solenoid since you hear clicking, Verifying all connectors near the pedal assembly were properly reseated after the service These electrical gremlins can be tricky, but the timing connection with your recent service could be the key to pinpointing the root cause.

Thanks for the detailed follow-up. After going through your suggestions, I checked with the service center that did my recent maintenance. They confirmed they had to disconnect several ground points during the service. Makes total sense now why these electrical faults started right after. Going to bring it back tomorrow to have them inspect all the ground connections and the starter solenoid. The car stalling and starting issues are really concerning, especially since its happening consistently now. Really hope its just a matter of cleaning and securing those ground points like in your case. Will update once they check the clutch switch area and pedal assembly connections too. The clicking sound without proper cranking definitely suggests its either the ground issue you mentioned or possibly that corroded connection causing these electrical system failures. Fingers crossed its a straightforward fix like yours was and not something more complex with the main electrical systems.
