Mini Roadster Air Suspension Problems

My 2013 Mini Roadster is giving me fits. The air suspension seems completely shot. It won't lift anymore, leans to one side like it's seasick, and I'm getting error messages all over the dash. Ride height is all over the place, low beams are aiming at the sky or the ground, and there's a warning light glaring at me. Error memory points to a compressor failure. Any ideas?

That sounds awfully familiar. I had a similar issue with my Audi, though it wasn't a Roadster. The air suspension kept giving me grief, leaning to one side like a tired dog. Have you checked for any obvious air leaks in the system? It could be something as simple as a cracked hose or a loose connection. Think of it like a leaky faucet, even a small drip can cause big problems over time. Also, does the suspension pump sound like it's working overtime?

Air leaks were my first thought, but I couldn't find any obvious ones. The pump does seem to be running more than usual. You mentioned a loose connection – any specific areas I should focus on?

Given that the pump is working overtime and you're not finding any major air leaks, I'd definitely focus on the electrical connections to the compressor and the air suspension control module. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector that was causing intermittent issues. The dealer initially wanted to replace the entire suspension system, but thankfully, a good mechanic found the real problem. It might be worth having a workshop take a look, especially if you're not comfortable digging into the wiring harness yourself.

Huge thanks for the input. Turns out it was a defective plug connection, just like you thought. 95€ and the Roadster is back to its old self.
