Mini Paceman warning light and oil pressure issues

Whoa, sounds rough! I had a similar issue with my Paceman, though the oil pressure warning lamp wasn't lighting up, just the general warning light. You've checked the oil level, right? Yeah, I had some rough idling at times, almost like it was going to stall. No unusual noises though, thankfully. I tried an oil additive first, but honestly, it didn't seem to make a huge difference. Ended up just doing a full oil change with a high-quality oil filter and fresh oil. If you're seeing the oil pressure light, I'd seriously consider getting it checked by a workshop ASAP. You don't want to risk damaging the engine further.

Thanks a lot for your insights. I got it checked out. Turns out it was exactly as suspected: excessive oil sludge due to the maintenance interval being exceeded. New oil and oil filter, plus some oil additives to clean things up. Cost me 165€. Running smooth now!
