Mini Paceman Intermittent System Errors

My 2013 Mini Paceman diesel is showing sporadic errors in driving mode. Error lamps are intermittently illuminated, and various systems, mostly audio/navigation, are failing. Sometimes the control units temporarily shut down or become unresponsive. A service required message is displayed. Is this potentially a BUS system issue?

I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper. Sporadic warning signal, malfunction indicator coming on and off, audio cutting out... Thought I was going crazy! Could be a loose connection somewhere? Have you checked the OBD-II for specific error codes?

Mine was similar. The symptoms you describe sound a lot like what I experienced. It turned out to be a defective cable connection of the control unit (connection to the BUS system). I'd suggest taking it to a workshop and get it checked. Hopefully, it's something simple.

Thank you for the information. I took the Mini Paceman to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective cable connection to the BUS system. The control module cable was replaced and the errors were cleared. Total cost was 155€.
