Mini Paceman Engine Stalling After Fuel Filter Change

Thank you for your response. You mentioned the pressure sensor. Where is that located, and is there a way I can test it myself without special equipment? Also, when you say fuel isn't getting to the engine properly, could that also impact fuel efficiency?

Okay, so the pressure sensor is usually located on the fuel rail, which is that metal tube thingy that delivers fuel to the injectors on your engine. Testing it properly requires a fuel pressure gauge, which most don't have lying around. And yes, a fuel delivery issue most definitely impacts fuel efficiency. If the pressure is off, the engine isn't getting the right amount of fuel, and that messes with everything. Honestly, with all those symptoms and the check engine light, I'd seriously consider getting it checked out by a mechanic. They can hook it up to a diagnostic tool and pinpoint the problem for sure.

Thank you for your time and expertise. I followed your advice and visited a workshop. It turned out the fuel pressure regulator was defective, likely due to an error during the fuel filter change. The repair cost around 45€, and the Paceman is now running smoothly again.

Whoa, engine stalls and reduced power? That sounds pretty serious! The check engine light is definitely a worry. Since it happened after you changed the fuel filter, I'd double-check everything is connected properly there first. Maybe a loose connection on the fuel line? A pressure drop could mean the fuel isn't getting to the engine properly. Also, did you happen to check the pressure sensor? Sometimes those get finicky. Any chance you're experiencing engine misfire along with all this?
