Mini Paceman Electrical Faults and Navigation Issues

Alright, I'm officially stumped. My 2016 Mini Paceman is throwing some serious tantrums. The error memory is full of faults, I'm seeing general electrical malfunctions, and the navigation system is completely unresponsive. My suspicion is pointing towards ECU problems, possibly a vehicle software issue. The error log suggests 'programming of the control unit implausible.' Has anyone else encountered something similar? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary trips to the mechanic.

Whoa, that sounds eerily familiar! I had a similar experience with my Paceman. I was getting random electrical glitches and the navigation was totally dead. Did you happen to notice any other weird symptoms, like the start/stop system acting up or the interior lights flickering?

The start/stop did seem a bit erratic, now that you mention it, and I think I noticed the interior lights flicker once or twice. What was the resolution in your case? Did they pinpoint the ECU as the culprit?

Yep, sounds like the same gremlins I had! They eventually traced it back to a software malfunction in the control module. They tried a few things, but ultimately, they had to reflash the ECU. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop that specializes in ECU problems. It's probably a software bug they've seen before.

Took it to the workshop as suggested. Turns out, the control unit needed a reflash. They reprogrammed it, and everything is working perfectly now. Cost me 240€, which is what I expected. Thanks for your help!
