Mini Paceman check engine light air supply issue

I'm experiencing a problem with my 2014 Mini Paceman. The check engine light is on, and I suspect it's related to the air supply system, possibly an air valve issue. The car has some kilometers on it. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had similar check engine light issues on my older Opel due to a vacuum leak. Check all your vacuum hoses for cracks or loose connections. Sometimes it's a simple fix. Does the engine stall or have idle problems?

Yes, the vacuum hoses can be tricky to find without experience. Given your symptoms and the potential air supply issue, it's probably best to have a workshop take a look. They can perform a smoke test to pinpoint any leaks in the system.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly should I be looking for these vacuum hoses? Are they easy to spot, and is there a specific area I should focus on in my Mini Paceman?

Just wanted to give an update. The problem was indeed with a defective hose connection from the pump to the air valve. Total cost was 175€ to fix. Thanks for the help!
