Mini One parking assist malfunction

Okay, if the error is constant and you've already checked the obvious connections, it does sound like it might be more than just a loose wire. Honestly, without proper diagnostic tools, messing with the control module could potentially cause more harm than good. Since the estimated repair cost is relatively low, perhaps the best course of action is to take it to a workshop and have them properly diagnose the wiring and module. At least you'll know for sure, and 95€ isn't too bad if it fixes the obstacle detection

Thanks for the quick reply I had a brief look at the connections near the bumper, but honestly, everything seemed pretty tight and clean. I'm not exactly sure where all the relevant parking assist wiring runs, though. You mentioned the control module; is there any way to test that without specialized equipment, or is it something best left to the professionals Do you know where I could find this control module in my Mini One The error is constantly on, unfortunately

Well, just wanted to report back Turns out the diagnostic was spot on. Took my Mini One to a trusted mechanic, and they confirmed the faulty wiring in the parking assist system. 95€ later, the parking aid is functioning perfectly again Thanks a bunch for your help and insights; I truly appreciate it

Parking assist issues can be a real pain, I feel you Hmmm, 'cable or plug connection defective' does sound plausible, especially with those error codes. I'm no expert, but have you checked the connections yourself, visually Sometimes it's just a loose plug. Also, does the error appear constantly, or intermittently Does it happen more when it rains, perhaps Could also be a control module thing, but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion immediately. Are the blind spot sensors working
