Thank you for your quick response! I'm not very experienced with car repairs. Could you tell me where I can find the fuel composition sensor and its connections in my Mini One? Is it easily accessible, or do I need special tools?

Okay, so you're not super familiar with car repair, got it. Honestly, fiddling with fuel lines without experience can be risky. Based on what you've described and the mechanic's suspicion of a defective connection, it's likely a simple fix but best left to the pros. Think of it like this: you could try fixing a leaky pipe yourself, but you might end up flooding the house! I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. A faulty connection will definitely throw off the fuel mixture and trigger that error. Plus, 95€ sounds like a reasonable price for that type of repair.

Thank you very much for your advice. You were spot on! I took my Mini One to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection as you suggested. They replaced it, and the error is gone. The total repair cost was 95€. I appreciate your help!

Sounds like you've got a bit of a headache there! The check engine light and stalling definitely point to a fuel issue. Since it's intermittent, I wouldn't immediately suspect completely wrong fuel. However, with the error message, it could be a faulty sensor or a loose connection messing with the fuel mixture reading. It’s like when your computer shows a wrong time because the internet connection is flaky. Have you checked the connections to the fuel composition sensor? Give those a wiggle and see if anything changes.
