Mini Countryman turn signal issues

My 2020 Mini Countryman is throwing some weird errors. The turn signal lamp seems defective; there's an error stored in the memory, and the speedometer shows an error message related to the lighting. I'm guessing it's a cable or plug issue with the signal lamp. Has anyone else run into this? Any thoughts before I end up paying 95€ to fix it?

I also drive a Mini Countryman, though not the newest model. I experienced similar electrical faults with a turn indicator a while back. Have you tried checking the flasher relay? Sometimes a faulty relay can cause erratic signal lamp behavior.

Thanks for the tip! I have not checked the flasher relay yet. Where is it located, exactly? Is it something I can replace myself, or is special equipment required?

It could be the relay, but honestly, my issue was a corroded connector at the lamp itself. Given the error message and potential cost, I'd advise getting it checked by a workshop. They should diagnose the electrical fault quickly.

Just wanted to update you: I took the Countryman to the workshop. Turned out to be a defective plug connection, as suspected. They fixed it for 95€. Thanks for sharing your experience; it helped me to be prepared.
