Mini Countryman Navigation Issues

I'm experiencing a rather perplexing issue with my 2019 Mini Countryman diesel. The vehicle software appears to be faulty. The symptoms include an error stored in the error memory, general electrical malfunctions, and, most notably, a non-functional navigation system. The onboard diagnostics point to an implausible programming of the control unit. The estimated repair cost is 240€. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, and could offer advice?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Countryman. The control module went haywire. Was the battery checked when the onboard diagnostics were run?

Yep, that was my experience almost exactly. Pretty sure they swapped out or reflashed something. I'm no expert, but this sounds like you need a software update or recalibration of the control unit. Honestly, I'd say just take it to a workshop and let them sort it out. It's probably faster and less of a headache.

Thank you for your help. I took it to a workshop, and after onboard diagnostics, they performed a control unit recalibration and a software update. It seems to have resolved the issue. The navigation is working again, and the error is gone.
