Mini Countryman fault code issue

Yes, I used a diagnostic scanner to read the fault code, and it indicates an issue with the vehicle coding. However, I'm not entirely sure what that entails. Could you elaborate on what exactly 'vehicle coding' means in this context and how it might cause these errors? I want to go to the workshop being informed.

Okay, so 'vehicle coding' is basically the software configuration of your car's computer. It controls everything from the engine to the lights. Sometimes, this coding can get corrupted or messed up, leading to false error messages and fault codes. Sounds like you need to visit a workshop to have them reset codes and reprogram the car. They'll use their fancy diagnostic scanner to do it properly. Good luck!

Thank you so much for confirming my suspicions. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. I just got back from the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a coding issue. They ran engine diagnostics, reset the codes, and reprogrammed the vehicle. Everything seems to be running smoothly now. The diagnostic scanner didn't lie! I appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Countryman. Kept getting some weird error messages on the infotainment system, and a fault code was popping up. Did you try using an OBD-II diagnostic scanner to read the fault code? What code is it showing?
