Mini Cooper Windshield Wipers Not Working

Alright, so my 2016 Mini Cooper, the gasoline model, has thrown me a curveball. The windshield wipers have completely stopped working! I ran a diagnostic and it's showing an error in the error memory. My suspicion points to a dodgy cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Could this also be related to cruise control? Has anyone else experienced this gremlin?

I had a similar issue with my Mini. My car wipers were acting up, and the turn signal was also a bit wonky. Have you checked the connection to the wiper motor? Sometimes a loose plug can cause these problems. Does your cruise control work fine?

Yes, the turn signal issue was intermittent, and it turned out to be related to the same faulty connection. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact location of the defect in the steering column and fix it properly.

Just wanted to let you know that the garage confirmed it was a faulty connection in the steering column. 95€ and now my car wipers are working again. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
