Mini Cooper S Convertible cruise control no longer works

Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2018 Mini Cooper with a gasoline engine. The cruise control function has somehow stopped working and it's showing me an error. I think it might be to do with the cruise control but I'm not sure. Have any of you had similar issues and could give me some tips on what I could try to fix it? Would also like to know how you got the problem solved at your garage. Your experiences would really help me. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had the same problem with my 2016 Mini Cooper S. I only know a little bit about cars, but I hope this helps you. I went to my regular garage. They then discovered that the control unit was faulty. I then paid a total of 1000 euros for it. For more details though, I'd need more info about your car, e.g. the specific model number and whether you've made any special modifications. I hope this helps you!

Hey, thanks for the reply! So it seems like the ECU is a common problem with these cars. Great. So far I haven't made any modifications to my car, it's the standard model. It has 98765 km on it now and the last service was only recently. I think I'll take it to my garage and have it checked. Hopefully it won't be too expensive... Thanks again for your tip!

Hey, no problem, you're welcome! Yes, the control unit often seems to break on these cars. Incidentally, mine had just under 100,000 km on it when the problem occurred. I would recommend that you actually go to your garage and have it checked. But before you spend too much money, first ask what exactly the problem is and what the repair would cost. Sometimes it can be just a minor issue that can be fixed quickly and cheaply. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's the same for you. Let us know how it turns out!

Hey, thanks for the encouraging words! I really appreciate your help. Yes, that sounds like a good plan. I will definitely ask what exactly the fault is and how much the repair would cost before I commit to it. I'm also hoping it's just a minor thing. Your experience reassures me somewhat. I will definitely keep you posted and report back what was said at the garage. Thanks again and have a great day!
