Mini Cooper Diesel Stalling and Power Loss

I am experiencing some difficulties with my 2012 Mini Cooper Diesel. The check engine light is illuminated, and the engine stalls at idle. Furthermore, there is a noticeable reduction in engine power. I suspect a defective fuel volume regulator, possibly due to a failing high pressure pump. I would appreciate any insights.

I appreciate the insight. As suspected, the issue was indeed the fuel volume regulator. The high pressure pump was defective, which seems to have been the root cause. Repair costs amounted to 1510€. Hopefully, this resolves the intermittent stalling and power loss.
