Mini Cabrio Engine Problems

My 2011 Mini Cabrio is giving me headaches. It starts poorly, fuel consumption is up, engine power is down, and it idles unevenly, sometimes even stalls. I suspect a dirty injection valve. Anyone else experienced this?

Oh man, that sounds frustrating! Could be a lot of things, right? I had similar issues with my old Peugeot - rough starts, felt like it was drinking fuel, the whole shebang. Turned out to be a clogged injector. How's your diesel emissions looking?

Clogged injector, you say? Interesting. How did you figure that out? And did it cause any engine stalling for you?

Well, the Peugeot was misfiring and the engine light was on, so a mechanic diagnosed it. And yeah, it stalled a few times at stoplights. It's probably best to get it checked at a workshop though.

Just wanted to give a quick update. It was indeed a defective injection nozzle. Replacement set me back 515€. Now it runs smoothly again. Thanks for sharing your experience!
